VINYASA (FLOW) YOGA

This class will include vinyasa, a series of physical poses, or asanas, that seamlessly flow into one another and the use of pranayama, or the control of breath, to guide your movement. After centering and warming up, you will transition into practicing sequences, and soon, through sustained practice, your body will begin to memorize the asanas at a cellular level. As you become more attuned to your body, you will intuitively make adjustments to improve your alignment and balance. Along with your physical movement, your mind and spirit will be nourished by subtle infusion of the eight limbs of yoga, and you will find that the benefits will begin showing up in many areas of life beyond the mat. The class will culminate in a beautiful savasana, or final relaxation/meditation. You will leave feeling a sense of peace, tranquility and clarity. This yoga class is designed to meet the needs of both the first time student and the seasoned yogi. With the use of props, cueing, adjustments and ancient yoga practices, each student will learn to go at their pace and experience yoga as a personal journey. Open to all levels from beginner to advanced.

VINYASA FLOW & RESTORE

Vinyasa Flow & Restore is a balanced practice designed to uplift and relax you. We will flow through poses to build strength and balance before transitioning to a restorative practice where you can melt away any lingering tension or stress. Open to all levels from beginner to advanced.

MIXED LEVEL/ALL LEVEL YOGA

This class is directed toward students with prior yoga experience, however,  it is open to everyone.  Modifications are often offered to allow each student to find their own expression of a pose, whether it be more challenging or making a pose a bit easier. Using breath to connect the mind and body, reducing tension and stress while building strength and balance.

CANDLELIGHT SLOW FLOW YOGA

Step into a beautifully illuminated candlelit studio with soothing music that takes you away from the modern day stressors. Through breath (pranayama) & posture (asana) we will intentionally flow slower allowing you to gain deeper awareness for the mind and body while building strength, focus and flexibility during our gentle candlelight vinyasa flow. Each class will end with a short meditation and restorative posture quieting the mind, slowing the nervous system and providing an opportunity to connect with oneself. A regular meditation practice cultivates a body, mind and spirit connect fostering balance both on and off the mat.

GENTLE FLOW / RESTORATIVE YOGA

Exhale the tension and stress of the work week and inhale peace. This is a restorative class that invites you to leave all the events of the week off the mat and be completely in the moment. Begin the weekend by winding down and focusing on relaxing and rejuvenating the body, mind and spirit. Emphasis will be on various breathing techniques, or prana, and a opening/clearing of the chakras, or energy centers of the body. Asana practice will be rooted in proper alignment and balance, and longer hold times will be the method. Enjoy an extra long savasana, or final relaxation after your practice which may be accompanied by beautiful music, guided meditation, or visual imagery. Open to all levels.

POWER HOUR YOGA

Get energized and ready to move! This dynamic flow class builds strength and flexibility using a steady flow of connected yoga postures (asana) synchronized with conscious breath (pranayama) in a continuous movement. Utilizing sun salutations, and connected movements, students will awaken their strength, energy and flexibility in a fun atmosphere. Basic yoga knowledge is recommended, but all stages of the posture are explained so everyone from the first time yogi to the seasoned practitioner feel comfortable!

FIND YOUR CORE

Your core is about more than just your ab muscles, it’s your body’s powerhouse. It facilitates movement while housing and protecting your inner organs and central nervous system. This class will help teach you to activate these deep core muscles, especially when you keep the outer body soft and flexible. (This is a key component in many YOGA classes.) Building your core strength and stability starts with deep breathing and moving through specific poses. Exercises both standing and on the mat help isolate and engage muscles. Having a strong core can prevent injuries, ease or eliminate back pain and give you a strong and confident posture. Recommended and open to all levels.

QI GONG

Qi Gong is a holistic system of coordinated body posture, movement, breathing, and meditation used for health, spirituality, and martial arts training. With roots in Chinese medicine, philosophy, and martial arts, Qi Gong is traditionally viewed as a practice to cultivate and balance Qi (chi) or what has been translated as “life energy”. Qi Gong practice typically involves a moving meditation, coordinating slow flowing movement, deep rhythmic breathing, and a calm meditative state of mind. Qi Gong is practiced worldwide for recreation, exercise, relaxation, preventive medicine, self-healing, alternative medicine and meditation.
